Yes, it is highly recommended to apply mulch around the base of treated trees. A layer of mulch, approximately 2-4 inches deep, helps to retain soil moisture, regulate soil temperature, and suppress weed growth. It also acts as a protective barrier, reducing the risk of mechanical damage from lawn equipment and preventing direct contact between the tree trunk and the surrounding soil.  

We will grind the stump deep and wide, approximately 16-18" deep and as wide as necessary. The stump shavings, consisting of a dense mixture of dirt and wood shavings, will be left on site. Additionally, we provide an optional grinding + clean-up service. 

With this option, you can grind the stump to your desired depth, whether below grade or deep and wide. We remove all the dirt, rocks, and wood shavings above ground level.
